Job summary

Autolus Ltd is seeking an entry-level EHS Apprentice (Level 3) to join the Environmental, Health and Safety team at our GMP manufacturing site in Stevenage, with occasional travel to London. You will gain hands-on experience implementing health, safety and environmental policies while completing a structured Level 3 apprenticeship leading to the Safety, Health and Environment Technician qualification.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs (grade 4/C or above) including English, Maths and a Science subject.
• Interest in health, safety and environmental protection in a scientific or manufacturing setting.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
• Eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support the overall implementation and continuous improvement of the EHS Management System.
• Assist with routine safety inspections and audits.
• Participate in site EHS Committee meetings.
• Help triage reported incidents and support investigations, including tracking corrective actions.
• Support and participate in training delivery, site inductions and safety campaigns.
• Coordinate vaccination clinics and Occupational Health Surveillance appointments.
• Contribute to sustainability initiatives and energy usage tracking.
• Maintain EHS records in line with regulatory and company requirements.
• Monitor the EHS mailbox and respond to queries.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering and Facilities.
