Job summary

Trafford Council is seeking a SEND Coordination Officer to support its Education Health and Care (EHC) Team. You will coordinate EHC Assessments and issue EHC Plans in line with the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Regulations 2014, while ensuring timely responses to Annual Reviews.

You will foster strong relationships with families and partner agencies, manage a busy caseload, and work in a person-centred way to support children and young people with SEND.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of the SEND framework and services across Education, Health and Social Care.
• Ability to manage a caseload of children and young people with complex needs.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Education, Health and Care (EHC) Assessments and issue EHC Plans in line with statutory duties.
• Respond to Annual Reviews and liaise with families and partner agencies.
• Work in a person-centred way to support families and professionals throughout the EHC process.
• Occasional travel to different sites across Trafford and neighbouring authorities for meetings.
