Job summary

Senior Aerospace Thermal Engineering, part of Senior plc, seeks an experienced EH&S leader in Royston to develop and drive the health, safety and environmental strategy across manufacturing activities. You will lead the EH&S function, oversee risk assessments and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires NEBOSH certifications, strong stakeholder engagement and budget oversight; you will mentor the EH&S Officer and report to the General Manager as part of the Senior Leadership Team.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety legislation and how to apply it.
• Experience managing EH&S in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lead risk assessments and drive a safety-first culture.
• Familiarity with ISO14001 and Nadcap/EHS-related standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of EH&S strategy and annual objectives.
• Provide leadership to the EH&S Officer and align local actions with group expectations.
• Develop EH&S performance metrics and report to senior leadership.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure regulatory compliance and safe systems of work.
• Conduct regular audits, inspections, and root-cause investigations.
