Job summary

A leading company in the energy sector is seeking an experienced Cost Manager to join their Basingstoke team. The role involves managing cost reports, collaborating with commercial teams, and ensuring compliance with financial processes. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency, along with relevant educational qualifications. This position may require occasional travel.

We have a brand new opportunity for an experienced Cost Manager to join our 'Energy' business unit, to provide an efficient, accurate, and effective administration service that enables colleagues to continue delighting their customers.

Here are some of the activities you'll be involved in:

  • Generating and reporting weekly revenue and cost reports
  • Managing journals and providing cost details to the commercial team
  • Analyzing weekly and monthly cost and revenue data
  • Maintaining full control of the cost and invoicing process
  • Collaborating with the commercial team to understand costs and address queries
  • Ensuring compliance with WBS structure
  • Implementing controls to ensure compliance
  • Monthly reporting
  • Overseeing the financial and cost output of the team
  • Managing a Cost Analyst and a Cost Administrator

We would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate:

Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret data are essential. Being numerate and an advanced user of Excel (formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs) is also required.

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, or recent qualification with a business, accountancy, or quantity surveying degree.

This role may require occasional travel to different offices, so a full driving license is necessary.
