Associate Cost Manager/Associate Quantity Surveyor - Water/Utilities

We are seeking an Associate Cost Manager / Commercial Manager for infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive cost management experience, be comfortable with challenging conversations, and able to lead teams and manage client relationships effectively.

Main Responsibilities

• Build professional relationships with clients and project teams.
• Administer contracts aligned with project objectives.
• Monitor, forecast, and report on project costs to ensure budgets are maintained.
• Manage cost variances, contract cash flow, and timely applications.
• Collaborate to deliver project KPIs, including cost control and value engineering.
• Manage contract changes and ensure governance compliance.
• Improve forecast and budget accuracy.
• Provide commercial support and negotiate final accounts.
• Lead and manage project teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Cost / Commercial Management.
• MRICS qualification preferred.
• Experience with NEC3 contracts, especially Option C – Target Cost.
• Post-contract administration experience.
• Experience with major programmes and infrastructure projects (rail, air, marine/ports, utilities, highways).
• Leadership experience in managing teams.
