Role: Business Development Manager - Food BRCGS Audits

Location: Fully Remote

Salary: Competitive salary

Russell Taylor Group has a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Manager specializing in sales of food second-party audits (specifically BRCGS audits) to join a growing division of a Global Testing, Inspection, and Certification company. The role involves bringing in new clients within the Food industry and supporting supply chain audits. Previous experience in selling technical services to the food and retail sectors is essential.

The position is fully remote, with occasional client visits as needed. Sales will primarily be conducted via outbound calls, Teams meetings, email, and networking/LinkedIn. Quarterly in-person team meetings will be held at varying locations.

This is a cold desk role, requiring you to generate your own leads. It offers a great opportunity for career development, with autonomy and no micromanagement.

The Role
  • Generate new leads, identify opportunities, meet clients, and close deals through telephone activity, social media, and complete sales cycles from start to finish.
  • Conduct outbound calls to potential food and retail companies.
  • Work towards activity, pipeline, and forecast KPIs and targets.
  • Deliver high levels of customer service and build strong client relationships.
  • Update CRM to create leads and facilitate cross-selling.
  • Enhance existing client relationships.
  • Hunt for new business in trending areas.
  • Negotiate pricing to maximize profitability.
  • Forecast sales and manage budgets.
  • Understand the marketplace and customer needs.
  • Deliver professional presentations to potential customers.

  • Previous experience selling technical services to the food and retail sectors.
  • Resilient, energetic, focused, and organized.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex negotiations and handle objections.
  • Process-driven and fast learner.
  • Good understanding of organizational compliance.
  • Strong hunting and cold calling skills.
