  • Uphold BRCGS and internal standards in all warehouse activities, especially in high-care and chilled zones.
  • Monitor team performance, provide on-the-floor coaching, and ensure adherence to GMP, hygiene, and health & safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate stock handling practices, including real-time scanning, traceability, segregation, and allergen control.
  • Ensure smooth handovers between shifts and clear communication with production, planning, and logistics functions.
  • Promote and enforce compliance with SOPs, 5S, and safe systems of work.
  • Support audits (internal, BRCGS, and customer) with documentation and operational readiness.
  • Report issues and escalate problems to the Warehouse Manager in a timely manner.
  • Encourage a positive and productive team environment, leading by example in all aspects of warehouse work.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience in a warehouse or logistics supervisory role within chilled or high-care food manufacturing.
  • Solid understanding of BRCGS, GMP, and food safety requirements in a warehouse environment.
  • Confident team leader with a hands-on approach and strong attention to detail.
  • Flexible to work late evening shifts (up to 1am) and adapt to the demands of a fast-paced operation.
  • Knowledge of stock control systems (WMS/ERP) and scanning technology preferred.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Understanding of HACCP and allergen management desirable.
  • Basic Health & Safety awareness; a qualification (e.g., IOSH) is a plus.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive hourly rate/salary with shift allowance (if applicable)
  • Permanent role within a well-established, international food manufacturing group
  • Opportunity for progression within a high-performance, high-compliance operation
  • Structured onboarding and support from experienced management
