Qualifications

About Our Client

This role is for a leading food manufacturing and distribution business based in Nantwich or Newcastle-under-Lyme, depending on preference.

Job Description

• Support the Head of Health, Safety and Quality and the wider Senior Management Team in delivering the company strategy, while maintaining quality assurance excellence.
• Contribute to a strong workplace culture through the development of an engaging and ambitious quality assurance strategy.
• Provide clear direction and coordination to a team of quality assurance professionals, aligned with the company strategy and quality assurance objectives.
• Lead the maintenance and development of the quality management system to meet BRCGS standards for storage and distribution, organic food federation standards, and other relevant legislation or practices.
• Oversee the internal audit programme, ensuring continuous improvement.
• Act as a key contact for internal stakeholders, customers, external auditors, and regulatory bodies.
• Drive ownership of quality assurance at all levels of the hierarchy.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a holistic approach to food safety, product legality, and quality.

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a quality management role.
• FMCG background.
• Food safety experience, preferably in storage and distribution sector.
• HACCP Level 3 or above.
• ISO 9001 implementation and/or auditing qualification.
