Job Description:

Westlakes Recruit is currently recruiting for a Lead Planner / Area Planner (electrical bias) to be engaged on a permanent basis, based in Bridgwater.

Role Responsibilities:

• Support the Lead Planner in implementing and maintaining Project Controls processes for Planning.
• Assist Senior Project/Programme Managers, including producing monthly reports with analysis and insights.
• Collaborate with other disciplines within Integrated Project Controls and Project Support Functions to achieve project goals based on client principles of Trust, Transparency, and Teamwork.
• Develop and maintain the schedule baseline IWS in Primavera P6, with logic-linked work plans aligned to Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and construction techniques.
• Ensure updates to Level 2/4 IWS are completed within agreed timeframes.
• Contribute to Trend & Change processes, analyze project data, generate performance indicators, and identify risks and opportunities.
• Identify and resolve time-related issues.
• Coordinate and produce project schedule reports, including commentary on key drivers and performance issues.
• Follow project governance and scheduling standards and procedures.
• Handle project documents securely, especially Sensitive Nuclear Information, according to client policies.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field, or HND/equivalent with relevant experience.
• Chartered or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience in Project Management or Project Controls, particularly scheduling on major construction projects.
• Extensive experience with scheduling software, preferably Primavera P6 v7 or above.
• Knowledge of commercial contracting.
