Role: Maintenance Technician (Mechanical Bias)

Location: Winsford, Cheshire

Hours: Monday - Friday 07:30 - 15:45

Salary: £38,000 + Overtime & On-Call Payments

Job Description:

We are partnering with a well-established industrial manufacturing company in Winsford to recruit an experienced Maintenance Technician with a strong mechanical background. This hands-on, site-based role involves a mix of planned maintenance and responding to breakdowns to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Reacting to mechanical breakdowns across a busy manufacturing site
2. Conducting routine planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)
3. Replacing bearings, gland packing, belt and chain drives
4. Assisting with equipment installation and upgrades
5. Maintaining safe and compliant working practices

Candidate Requirements:

1. Proven maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
2. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components
3. Ability to work independently and troubleshoot under pressure
4. A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement

Pay & Benefits:

• Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 15:45
• Overtime paid at 1.5x on weekdays and 1.75x on weekends
• Standby/on-call payments for both weekday and occasional weekend cover
• Disturbance fees and minimum callout hours paid
