What you will do
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for profiling, discovery, outreach, and gaining appointments with New Logo prospects in the Enterprise sector.
- Profile prospects based on Colt’s Sweet Spot
- Identify and understand prospects' business strategies and align how Colt can deliver solutions that drive enhanced value against specific, measurable metrics.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of potential clients and gain their interest over the long term
- Use your own skills, character, and initiative within the prescribed Outreach framework to gain appointments
- Develop and implement an effective contact strategy to ensure engagement at all levels of the prospect
- Develop a proactive, outcome-based approach for your messaging and content
- Collaborate with colleagues across Colt to develop messaging that addresses and supports the customers’ stated outcomes
- Achieve/overachieve personal sales KPIs and work to the business plan with your Manager
- Handover appointments professionally to the relevant Account Executive
What we're looking for
Skills & Experience
Must haves:
- Experience in business development in a similar or transferable environment
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience prospecting into mid-large size global companies
- Comfortable with modern outreach techniques such as email, social media, video, and calling
- Familiarity with MEDDICC or equivalent qualification methodology
- Assertive verbal and written communication skills to build strategic relationships
- Strong analytical skills to translate data into customer insights and engagement strategies
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Product, Marketing, Service Delivery)
- Working knowledge of MS Office suite
Might haves:
- Strong consultative selling experience from another industry and interest in Telecoms
