The Details You Need

Location: Edinburgh-based, hybrid working style. Expect face time with clients across the central belt and beyond.

Salary: £75,000-£90,000 (DOE), plus uncapped commission and up to 10% company bonus. On target earnings of £165,000+

Your Mission:

We're seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Head of Commercial to spearhead our growth and amplify our impact on ambitious businesses. This isn't just about leading sales; it's about architecting the commercial strategy for a fast-growing bespoke software delivery agency dedicated to creating the next generation of UK unicorns. You'll be instrumental in expanding our reach, nurturing key client relationships, and ensuring we are the partner of choice for businesses seeking transformative tech enablement.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Drive New Business Acquisition: Develop and execute strategic plans to acquire new clients who align with our mission of enabling significant growth through bespoke software solutions.
  • Cultivate Client Growth: Lead initiatives to expand our engagement with existing clients, identifying opportunities to further their tech enablement and solidify long-term partnerships.
  • Negotiate and Close Strategic Deals: Oversee the negotiation of complex contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that drive sustainable revenue growth.
  • Manage Commercial Relationships & Escalations: Act as a senior point of contact for key client relationships, effectively managing any escalations and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Lead and Develop the Sales Team: Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed commercial targets.
  • Contribute to Strategic Direction: As a key member of the leadership team, provide crucial commercial insights to inform the agency's overall growth strategy and service offerings.
  • Represent Clearsky Logic: Act as a compelling ambassador for Clearsky Logic, building strong industry connections and positioning us as thought leaders in bespoke software delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A proven track record of success in a senior commercial role within a fast-growing agency or technology services business.
  • Demonstrable experience in driving significant revenue growth and acquiring new enterprise-level clients.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong leadership qualities with experience in building and motivating high-performing sales teams.
  • A deep understanding of the value proposition of bespoke software and its impact on business growth.
