Job Description

Work with the DVSA with brilliant self-development and learning opportunities. The role holder will be provided with time and funding to complete their qualification/membership to MCIPS, funded yearly by the organisation while in role. The purpose is to provide DVSA operations with a commercial experience in line with Government Commercial Functions into categories by spend and type; managed through the entire commercial cycle (pre-procurement/market engagement; procurement; and contract management and benefits realisation), resulting in improved commercial services and cashable/non-cashable efficiency savings over the whole life of the commercial arrangement.

The Successful Applicant

Responsibilities are not limited to:

• Leading a team to continue the development of the Category Management approach.
• Responsible for team delivery against strategies.
• Operate in a regulated public sector commercial environment consistent with Commercial Operating Standards.
• Operate across sub-categories with a value of c£25m.
