Job Title: Business Development Manager - Mobile Sales

Are you an experienced Mobile Sales professional looking to be part of a global organization while selling at a local level?

We are recruiting a Business Development Manager to be the Mobile Specialist for an established telecoms organization. You will be responsible for achieving new business and sales targets.

Purpose

To sell the company's products, services, and future mobile propositions to the SME market in Coventry, Warwickshire, and Northamptonshire. As a leading telecoms company, we aim to maximize our potential in our customer base to sell mobile solutions and be recognized as the No. 1 mobile supplier in the business market.

Relationships
  • With Key Decision Makers (KDMs): Managing Directors, IT Directors, Sales Directors, and Finance Directors within SMEs. Ability to sell to top team decision-makers in organizations from 5 to 100+ employees.
  • With Sales Colleagues: 14 Desk-based Sales, 3 Field Sales, 5 Hybrid Field Sales, and 5 Customer Service colleagues supporting your efforts to achieve mobile sales targets.
  • With Management Team: 2 Sales Managers, Operations Manager, 3 Team Leaders, and a Managing Director. Alignment with team goals and delivering excellent customer service are essential.
  • With Internal Departments and Support Teams: Manage inbound customer calls confidently, accurately, and build relationships to facilitate sales and resolve issues.
Activities

The ideal candidate will be highly driven, with a strong work ethic, capable of making a high volume of outbound business development calls to the SME market.

  • Landscape all customers and manage a prospect bank for mobiles.
  • Make a minimum of 75 outbound calls per week in a B2B environment to exceed sales targets.
  • Book at least 5 meetings per week for new business, supported by a Mobile Specialist.
  • Take ownership of all targets and consistently deliver results.
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, achieving results through virtual collaboration.
  • Understanding of confidentiality, regulatory, fair trading, and competition roles.
  • Ability to work in front of a VDU for extended periods.
Skills & Competencies
  • Cultural and Behavioral: Trustworthy, high work ethic, integrity, discipline, positive attitude.
  • Technical Skills: Computer literate.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of B2B Mobile Sales experience.
  • Qualifications: 5 GCSEs at Level 6 or above.
