Are you a Project Management professional looking to work on projects that make a difference and enhance the world around us?

We are seeking Project Managers and Senior Project Managers with experience in the Water industry to join our Infrastructure Project Management team, working on the £88bn AMP8 investment period. AECOM has secured positions on frameworks with several Water Companies across the Southeast, Southwest, London, Midlands, and nationwide opportunities with government bodies.

Our growth is supported by a strong pipeline of projects, and you will be part of a team passionate about innovation and delivering cutting-edge solutions.

What you'll do

Lead teams to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects, providing client-side project management support throughout all project stages, including option studies, development, tender support, NEC contract administration, and on-site delivery.

  • Lead delivery of complex multidisciplinary projects within collaborative teams
  • Manage stakeholder relations, H&S, risk, quality, schedule, and contracts
  • Ensure projects meet client expectations for quality, cost, and time
  • Support and manage project teams, ensuring resource adequacy
  • Manage subcontractors and remote resources
  • Build strong client and team relationships
  • Assist in business development with existing and new clients

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in infrastructure project management, preferably in Water
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts, especially PSC and ECC
  • Experience working in integrated, collaborative teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Motivated with a growing industry network
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and closely with senior managers
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Experience working within client organizations
  • Proficient in digital tools and IT skills
  • Strong numeracy and communication skills
Education & Professional Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a consulting environment providing full PM services
  • A relevant degree (e.g., project management, engineering, environmental science, construction) or equivalent industry experience
  • Knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts
  • A project management qualification (e.g., APMQ, PRINCE2) is desirable
  • Membership in a professional body (e.g., APM, CIOB) is preferable
  • Ability to pass security screening checks
