Reports to: Senior Water Project Manager

Location: Reading area with travel to Southern sites

The Opportunity

We are fast becoming one of the UK’s top NAVs, and to facilitate this growth, we are recruiting a Water Project Manager within our NAV sector. This role oversees the safe and compliant installation of water infrastructure for new residential and commercial developments. You will work alongside leading developers and their self-lay providers, supporting projects from early design concepts through to delivery and completion. The position is home-based, allowing you to manage your own schedule. The ideal candidate will have experience in the utilities sector, be innovative, and eager to support business improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Management and Coordination
  2. Oversee the safe, compliant installation of water infrastructure in line with Water Regulations, Industry, and Safety Standards.
  3. Manage projects after handover from Business Development, ensuring smooth transition and effective execution.
  4. Manage project snagging to satisfactory completion.
  5. Ensure works align with Construction Programmes and provide updates as needed.
  6. Hold regular monthly meetings with the Senior Water Project Manager to discuss progress and resolve issues.

Process Implementation and Regulatory Compliance

  1. Implement NAV water processes for Delivery and Regulation departments, including Water Adoption Agreements.
  2. Ensure design adherence to Water Industry Regulations for full approval.
  3. Review design variations and assist as needed.
  4. Conduct regular Risk Assessments and POWRAs per company policies.
  5. Collect and manage regulatory documentation from clients, such as REG 5, Water Efficiency, and others.

Stakeholder and Quality Assurance

  1. Coordinate with Business Development during project handover.
  2. Serve as the first escalation point for ICP/SLP partners and customers.
  3. Provide guidance to SLPs, ICPs, Developers, and contractors throughout projects.
  4. Verify contractors' relevant accreditations, e.g., WIRS.

Site Supervision and Quality Assurance

  1. Conduct regular site visits to audit installation works, ensuring compliance.
  2. Attend commissioning on-site to advise and document issues.
  3. Manage procurement and installation of meters according to schedules.

Reporting and Asset Handover

  1. Produce progress reports for the Operations Team.
  2. Collaborate with Asset Management to ensure timely asset handover with complete data.

About You

  • Experience in the clean water industry.
  • Experience working with DNOs / IDNOs and Self Lay Providers.
  • Knowledge of the NAV industry and Water Design Process.
  • Understanding of water regulatory standards and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
