Network Solutions Architect

• The Network Solution Architect is responsible for the technical ownership of the organization’s global network platforms, providing subject matter expertise and acting as the primary internal escalation point for significant technical system issues.
• The role supports and oversees the delivery of IT projects, including technical resource management and task planning. The architect defines standards, policies, and documentation for operational administration and maintenance of the platforms.
• This position requires strong collaboration across teams and regions, as well as ongoing management of vendor relationships at a technical level on behalf of PD-ITSD.
• The Network Solution Architect is a key member of the Network and Data Centre team, responsible for implementing and managing a critical infrastructure composed of Cisco, Check Point, Palo Alto, and Network Monitoring enterprise systems.

Position Description

• The Network Solution Architect holds a vital technical role within PD-ITSD, owning key IT systems deployed across EMEA. The role demands broad technical skills, excellent communication, project management discipline, and the ability to support operational needs and strategic projects seamlessly. The seniority of the role also involves mentoring junior staff and sharing knowledge with related IT teams.
• The primary focus is to oversee and take ultimate technical responsibility for existing systems while developing and deploying new IT systems and initiatives to benefit the organization.
• In partnership with the Infrastructure Architect, the Network Solutions Architect develops conceptual designs based on requirements, supports senior engineers in implementation, and operationally introduces new technology platforms and solutions. They also develop and document network design and configuration standards to define technical and operational parameters.
• The architect works within a dedicated technology team but maintains key relationships with other IT teams across EMEA and North America.
