Location: Stockton-on-Tees

Are you from a production planning or scheduling background looking to work for a global logistics business that has been operating for over 100 years and actively promotes from within? Are you seeking to progress your career with extensive training and development in an agile working environment that offers a great work-life balance? This role involves managing a portfolio of customer accounts related to the European and Global export and import of liquid chemical goods. You will be the main point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders.

As a Customer Service Specialist, you will collaborate with commerce to provide guidance and information, creating strong relationships with customers and offering optimal supply chain solutions for export and import inquiries.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage operational contacts with customers.
2. Build relationships, understand customer needs, translate requirements for business use, and provide sustainable logistics solutions to support their supply chains.
3. Maintain high communication levels across internal teams to meet customer requirements and ensure operational teams have necessary information for planning.
4. Optimize logistics services for efficiency and effectiveness.
5. Inform customers of order updates and manage additional charges incurred during orders.
6. Provide customers with relevant documentation (CMR, invoices, heat certificates).
7. Coordinate documentation for import, export, and transit movements in line with Brexit clearance processes.
8. Monitor gross/operational margins on customer accounts and suggest improvements.

The Person:

• Experience in a customer service or office-based logistics environment.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
