Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Updating the critical path and product system with all updates from initial product development to final approval.
  2. Managing the sampling critical path, ensuring timely sample submissions and approvals from the first sample to final sealed sample.
  3. Following up on fabric submissions, colors, strike-offs, and samples within development timeframes and critical launch dates.
  4. Managing outgoing and incoming packages to and from vendors, and preparing packages for internal review.
  5. Labeling all samples correctly with hangtags and product details.
  6. Supporting the product developer in responding to supplier queries.
  7. Collecting information from suppliers, including costs, fabric compositions, and product data required for setup.
  8. Receiving production samples and working closely with the team to review and approve samples before final approval.
  9. Fabric management, including obtaining fabric prices, organizing swatches, and maintaining the fabric library.
  10. Chasing fabric, color, and print approvals, and reviewing fabric test reports for validation.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Chinese and confident communication across channels like WeChat and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience in a fast-paced fashion environment.
  • Background in product development, preferably in occasionwear.
  • Knowledge of fabrics, costings, design construction, and CP management.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, especially liaising with Asian suppliers (China, India, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Analytical mindset with data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Confident, assertive, proactive, and able to build rapport at all levels.
  • Determined to achieve results and willing to go the extra mile.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
