Apparel Product Developer – Mens, Ladies and Kidswear

A leading high street fashion retailer is looking for an Apparel Product Developer to join their in-house “own brand” team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the High Street fashion industry, working across men’s, women’s, junior, and accessories categories. Strong self-motivation, time management skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhering to critical paths to ensure the smooth progression of the product development process.
  • Managing all seal samples.
  • Conducting fit sessions to ensure proper garment fit.
  • Measuring and providing detailed feedback on own-brand samples.
  • Preparing comprehensive workbooks with accurate specifications, grade rules, testing protocols, and risk assessments.
  • Ensuring products comply with regulations, safety standards, and legislation.
  • Testing product performance and overseeing quality control.
  • Managing and supporting design handovers.
  • Serving as the key point of contact throughout the development process.
  • Collaborating with overseas suppliers and traveling when necessary.
  • Working closely with the design and buying teams to offer guidance on new product development.
