Division info:

The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.

Summary of position:

The role of the Business Analyst is to understand and translate datasets across multiple functions to create and manage dashboards in Qliksense / Power BI.

Their other activities include inventory management, data analysis and contract review.

Main responsibilities:

Identify data sources and appropriate ways to analyse data

Use specialist tools such as Qlicksense and PowerBI to present data in visual formats such as dashboards

Responsible for data accuracy and integrity

Work with Management and Business Improvement teams to establish and understand project briefs

Training and Supporting Colleagues in the use of the Business Intelligence Tools

Identify system anomalies through data investigations and provide feedback and insight to colleagues

Prepare burn down/waterfall charts when required by Customers

Prepare On Time Delivery Reports for OE, MRO & Spares orders with coordinated root causes with Production Control / Finance

Analytical support for contract review, demand management and inventory trends.

Adhere to departmental procedures.

Adhere to safe working practices & standards of housekeeping in work area.

Support Projects And Other Activities As Required.

Cover for your colleagues where appropriate

Any other requirements that may be needed to support the team.

Qualifications:

• Degree education preferred
• Demonstratable knowledge of Data Analysis
  
  

Skills and Knowledge:

• Proficient user of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, & Teams
• Excellent understanding of Data visualization tools, Qliksense, Power BI etc
• Ability to think creatively and design visually appealing and informative dashboards
• Experience of using ERP Systems (preferably LN).
• Critical thinker who can analyse data and identify the risks/opportunities to the business based on the information provided.
• Self-starter who can use their initiative to expedite actions and resolve issues on their own or as part of a team.
• Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate cross functionally and with suppliers / colleagues.
• Good organisation skills with the ability to organize themselves and others efficiently to meet customer requirements.
