NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is the largest Health Board and provider of healthcare in Scotland, and one of the largest in the UK. With a total budget of £3.2 billion and a workforce of 39,000 staff, we deliver local, regional, and national acute and primary health care services.
In partnership with Inverclyde Council, Inverclyde HSCP provides joint and integrated health and social care services to over 79,000 residents, aiming to improve health, care, well-being, and reduce inequalities.
We seek an exceptional Human Resources Manager responsible for providing timely, effective HR advice and support on complex operational issues, exercising high relationship management skills, and collaborating with the HR Support and Advice Unit and wider HR Directorate.
The role requires working at pace with multiple stakeholders, challenging thinking, coaching, and developing managers to enhance their confidence and capability, and ensuring consistent policy application.
The successful candidate will work in partnership with staff representatives and trade unions to uphold the principles of the national Staff Governance Standards and Everyone Matters framework, ensuring policy consistency.
Applicants should have recent success in HR roles within large, complex, multi-union environments, with proven engagement with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, including trade unions. Extensive knowledge and practical expertise in HR management and organizational change are essential.
Qualifications include a degree or significant practical HR experience, membership of CIPD or similar, and substantial experience as a generalist HR practitioner.
The position is flexible regarding base location, with options for home working, and involves travel across NHSGGC. The role may require working in different areas as needed.
