Qualifications

The Ideal Individual

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar position for a Hotel or Restaurant as well as proven experience of working in a luxury environment. Food & Beverage marketing experience is key as this will form a large part of the role.

Self-motivated and driven, you will be adept in managing your goals and objectives and setting your workload appropriately to achieve them on schedule.

The ideal individual will have the ability to work both on an individual basis as well as part of a team.

You will have an eye for detail and be able to prioritise with a positive demeanour.

Role Responsibilities

2. Sales Performance:
  • Revenue and Occupancy:
  • Revenue Growth: Track year-over-year (YoY) and quarter-over-quarter (QoQ) revenue growth against budget and industry benchmarks.
  • Occupancy Rate: Monitor occupancy rate against budget and compare to competitor hotels and market trends.
  • Average Daily Rate (ADR): Analyse ADR trends and compare to budget and competitor prices.
  • Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR): Track RevPAR growth against budget and industry benchmarks.
  • Return on Investment (ROI) for Sales & Marketing: Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and sales initiatives by calculating ROI.
  • Social Media Presence & performance: Style and approve the posting across all social media outlets, assessing performance and lead creation.
  • Lead Generation and Conversion: Track the efficiency of lead generation efforts and conversion rates from leads to booked stays and events.
  • Client Retention: Analyse client retention rates and identify opportunities to improve loyalty programs and guest satisfaction.
  • Sales Productivity: Regularly assess the productivity of actions with the General Manager to ensure maximum efficiency.
Strategic Initiatives
  • Market Penetration: Evaluate the effectiveness of strategies to enter new markets or segments.
  • Distribution Channel Mix: Monitor the performance of different distribution channels (e.g., online travel agencies, direct bookings) and identify opportunities for optimization. Strategy should flex month on month with forecast channel production.
  • Pricing Strategy: Review the effectiveness of pricing strategies and adjust as needed to maximise revenue while remaining competitive.
  • Relationship Building: Curate and build strong relationships with key partners (e.g., travel agents, corporate clients) and leverage these relationships to drive sales.
3. Guest Satisfaction:
  • Guest satisfaction scores: Track and analyze guest feedback on sales and booking experience.
  • Repeat guest rate: Measure customer loyalty and retention.
  • Net Promoter Score (NPS): Gauge customer loyalty and willingness to recommend the hotel.
