COMPENSATION: $19.00 - $25.00 an hour DOE

PURPOSE

The Facility Maintenance Technician performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment and systems within the facility, ensuring safety, operational efficiency, and a positive member experience.

The ideal candidate is engaging, diligent, organized, results-driven, and customer service-oriented.

DELIVERABLES

The key responsibilities include:

• Communication: Provide daily updates to the General Manager and document work completed. Seek feedback on work quality and maintenance needs.
• Scheduling & Planning: Collaborate with the General Manager to schedule and verify completion of maintenance tasks.
• Inspection and Testing: Regularly inspect and test equipment and systems for proper functioning.
• Safety: Ensure safety of members, staff, and assets through inspections and communication.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in equipment and systems.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct inspections and perform preventive maintenance as scheduled in the CMMS system.
• Repairs: Repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues.
• Work Orders: Respond promptly to maintenance requests.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and codes.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory, updating the CMMS daily.
• Equipment Monitoring: Monitor building systems for optimal performance.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and refurbish cardio, weight, and general equipment, including assembly.
• Emergency Response: Address urgent maintenance issues promptly.
• Team Collaboration: Work with management, contractors, and vendors as needed.
• General Upkeep: Perform tasks like patching, painting, carpentry, and groundskeeping.
