Job Title: Logistics Manager (maternity cover)
Reporting to: Director of IT & Operations
Role Overview:
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for the entire international supply chain, from production and distribution to wholesalers, retailers, our Flagship Store, and E-commerce. The role involves coordinating this flow strategically and daily to ensure that products are delivered to the right locations on time and cost-effectively. The manager will also oversee third-party logistics and freight orders.
Key Accountabilities
- Build successful relationships with warehouses both in person and remotely.
- Ensure data control accuracy regarding stock and flows.
- Manage relationships effectively both internally and externally.
- Work proactively with executives, translating supply chain strategies, obstacles, and regulations to develop comprehensive logistics operations strategies.
- Understand the implications of Customs/Duty Taxes on the supply chain and logistics, and provide solutions.
- Manage IT systems to control stock levels, delivery times, and transport costs.
- Use information systems to coordinate and control the order cycle.
- Analyze data from IT systems to evaluate performance and plan improvements.
- Allocate and manage resources according to changing needs.
- Develop the business by gaining new contracts, analyzing logistical problems, and producing solutions.
- Collaborate with the team to develop improved operational flows.
- Continuously seek to improve business performance within legislative, fuel cost, and environmental constraints.
- Manage staff training issues and motivate team members.
- Plan and manage projects effectively.
- Utilize specialist knowledge to provide consultancy services.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in logistics or related fields.
- A degree in business, computing, distribution, or management is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, across all organizational levels.
- A logical, systematic approach to work.
- Problem-solving skills, decision-making ability, lateral thinking, and creativity.
- Commercial awareness and strong numeracy skills.
- IT literacy, including system integration and information flow management.
- Ability to manage change effectively.
