Position Summary

Our Advanced Technologies group is seeking a hands-on, experienced Electrical Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team working on diverse projects spanning research, commercial, military, and medical technology. Innovation and problem-solving are key aspects of this role, along with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of researchers. Experience in developing both hardware and software for embedded systems is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience prototyping hardware devices
• Familiarity with schematic and PCB CAD tools

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with embedded microcontrollers (e.g., Nucleo, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, PIC)
• Proficiency with PCB design software (e.g., Altium)
• Experience developing application software for Windows, Android, Linux, and LabVIEW environments
• Programming skills in C, C++, Python, Perl, Tcl
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, RS-232
• Comfort working on early-phase research projects
• Signal processing experience for commercial, medical, or military applications is a plus

Education and Experience

• 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent; advanced degrees are a plus
• 5-7 years of experience in hardware or software development
