Job Description

HAYNES DEVELOPMENT IS SEEKING an experienced Construction Superintendent with drive, passion, and energy to change people’s lives! Quarry Walk is one of Haynes Development's projects, a unique and stunning “town within a town” where all daily needs are steps away. The Construction Superintendent will work with a team to build residential and commercial properties and participate in the vision of future projects.

Under the general direction of the President and Construction Manager, the Construction Superintendent provides guidance and leadership for all organizational areas, functions, and activities of the construction group. Oversees planning and coordination of construction projects, both residential and commercial, and develops open channels of communication with project management, estimating, equipment management, subcontractors, vendors, and owners.

Clearly promotes Haynes' vision and core values to all staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise construction projects and manage warranty services.
  • Effectively communicate with customers, addressing issues and concerns professionally, safely, and promptly.
  • Coordinate and allocate resources and equipment to meet company needs.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining drawings, building documents, and project budgets.
  • Ensure work quality meets company standards and budgets.
  • Supervise suppliers, subcontractors, and site operations.
  • Monitor work progress to meet specifications and schedules safely and efficiently.
  • Organize, coordinate, and supervise suppliers, subcontractors, and self-performed work.
  • Procure, review, and approve contracts and invoices.
  • Inspect work performance, ensure code compliance, and coordinate inspections.
  • Review projects, manage risks, document processes, and maintain customer relations.
  • Develop and evaluate processes for daily operations.
  • Coordinate punch list and project closeout activities.

  • Knowledge of building codes, trades, and construction practices

  • Ability to read project drawings (engineered, civil, architectural)
  • Understanding of contract documents, plans, and specifications
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in residential and commercial construction
  • Strong communication skills with owners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Experience with P6 Project Scheduling, Expedition, Timberline, or Procore
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience
