This role is covering maternity leave for a core member of our research team. You will have the opportunity to use your knowledge of the Private Capital industry to identify and report on trends in the sector, including deal activity, sustainability, and diversity. The responsibilities include:
- Core publications: Managing data collection and benchmarking for the BVCA's key publications such as the Report on Investment Activity, Performance Measurement Survey, and others.
- Data collection & validation: Developing understanding of data platforms, working with members to gather data, and ensuring accuracy.
- Analysis & interpretation: Analyzing datasets, identifying trends, and communicating findings effectively.
- Market intelligence: Understanding the universe of PE/VC/Private Credit funds from various sources to support research and membership growth.
- Thought leadership: Producing research reports, collaborating on external research projects, and summarizing findings for newsletters.

Requirements
Essential:
- Strong analytical skills and experience with complex data.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office suite.
Desirable:
- Experience in research methodologies and knowledge of economic and political trends.
- Knowledge of the UK private equity, venture capital, or private credit markets.
- Understanding of financial metrics like multiples and IRRs.
