Job Description:
This role covers maternity leave for a key member of our research team. You will leverage your knowledge of the Private Capital industry to identify and report on sector trends, including deal activity, sustainability, and diversity. Responsibilities include:
- Managing data collection and benchmarking for core publications, such as the Report on Investment Activity, Performance Measurement Survey, and others.
- Developing expertise in BVCA’s data collection platform, working collaboratively with members, and ensuring data accuracy.
- Analyzing datasets to identify trends, generating statistics, and communicating insights to stakeholders.
- Understanding the PE/VC/private credit market through data review and qualification, supporting market penetration and membership efforts.
- Producing research reports, summaries, and working on ad hoc projects around topics like productivity, regional development, and the green transition.

Requirements
- Strong analytical skills for handling complex data.

- Excellent organizational, communication, and research skills.
- Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Knowledge of economic, political trends, and UK private equity/venture capital markets, including financial metrics like multiples and IRRs.
