Engineering and Maintenance Scheduler - Maidstone - Up to 30k - Permanent
My client is currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering and FM Scheduler to join their team based in Maidstone, Kent.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 - 17:00, full-time in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Allocate jobs to in-house engineers based on their skills, availability, and location.
- Liaise with the Helpdesk Manager and send engineers to roles to complete and close down jobs when completed.
- Collaborate closely with the Subcontractor Planner to ensure in-house resource prioritization and escalate to subcontractors when required.
- Adjust schedules to accommodate urgent callouts, absences, or shifting priorities.
- Ensure all job details, access arrangements, permits, and RAMS are in place.
- Monitor engineer first-time fix rates and escalate when needed.
- Monitor engineers' diaries throughout the day to ensure jobs are completed on time.
- Customer & Stakeholder Communication:
- Book jobs with customers, confirm attendance and appointments.
- Keep customers informed about changes, delays, or re-scheduling.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to emails.
- Act as a point of contact for customers and engineers for job-related queries.
Parts & Logistics Coordination:- Place and track orders for parts and materials required for reactive jobs.
- Coordinate delivery schedules for timely arrival at job sites or with engineers.
- Communicate with engineers to confirm part requirements and delivery details.
- Handle discrepancies, delays, or issues with suppliers or deliveries, escalating when necessary.
- Liaise with Quotes & Procurement Coordinator regarding supplier performance.
