Job description

Sales Coordinator / Sales Support Engineer / Engineering Administrator required to join a market-leading engineering supplier near Birmingham.

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating quotations, order processing, expediting, documentation, administration, invoicing, proposals, and other customer service aspects for mechanical engineering products such as valves, bearings, pumps, couplings, linear drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, and more.

Ideally, candidates will come from a sales, technical support, customer service, or engineering background. Full training will be provided.

Role Responsibilities

• Generate and provide quotations and proposals for mechanical engineering products to customers
• Provide technical support and customer service, including order processing, expediting, and documentation
• Learn all aspects of administration, including order processing, invoicing, and checking order confirmations
• Product specification, after-sales, and service support
• Liaise with various engineering departments
• Must be commutable to the Birmingham office

Requirements

• Full training will be provided; experience in raising quotations and pricing queries in an engineering environment is beneficial
• Good IT skills; proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP, CRM, or similar software
• Experience in roles such as Internal Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Support Engineer, Engineering Administrator, Contracts Engineer, Proposals Engineer, Sales Executive, Technical Sales Advisor, or similar customer service positions within engineering
• Technical aptitude or understanding of engineering equipment is advantageous but not essential
• Must be willing to commute to or re-locate near Birmingham
