You will like

Designing steel structures from Telford office for a leading global manufacturer, distributor & installer of storage solutions for £Multi-M warehouse fit-outs. They are experiencing sustainable growth across the UK and are supported by this HQ team from an easily accessible office location on a Telford business park.

You will like

The Structural Engineer role involves being involved in all aspects of the design process and working with in-house tools to create bespoke design engineering solutions for customers. You will work closely with the sales department to understand the customer’s brief and their ultimate aims for their new structure. Specifically:

• Delivery of concept and detailed structural schemes to Sales and Design.
• Calculations of cold-formed steel structures to prevailing standards (EN codes and storage industry standards).
• Ability to explain calculations.
• Involvement in product tests & interpretation of results.
• Development of software to standardise calculation processes.

You will have

To be successful as a Structural Engineer, you will have a healthy mix of the following:

Essential

• Graduate with MEng/BEng/BSc or equivalent in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Structural design experience.
• Understanding of steelwork design codes.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team.

Desirable

• Experience with thin-gauge steel.
• Experience within the storage industry.
• Proficiency in CAD.
