A leading company in Richmond is seeking an experienced Interim Accountant for a short-term project focused on migrating financial data to a new ERP platform. The role requires strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail, with responsibilities including data reconciliation and compliance with accounting standards. The candidate must be ACCA qualified and have experience with data migration projects, particularly using NetSuite.
Our client a well established company based in Richmond is currently undertaking a systems transition project to enhance their finance operations. As part of this, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Interim Accountant to support a key data migration initiative on a short-term basis.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in migrating financial data from the legacy accounting system to a new ERP platform. This position requires strong technical accounting skills, hands-on data reconciliation experience, and a methodical approach to managing high volumes of financial data.
Assist with the migration of accounting data from the current system to the new finance platform
Reconcile and validate migrated data to ensure completeness and accuracy
Collaborate with internal finance and IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve data issues
Support system testing, reporting, and post-migration checks
Prepare clear documentation of processes and findings for internal use
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies throughout the project
ACCA qualified (or equivalent professional accounting qualification)
Proven experience in data migration or system implementation projects- Netsuite essential.
Strong understanding of core financial processes (GL, AP, AR, fixed assets)
High attention to detail and strong reconciliation skills
Excellent Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) is a plus
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Available to attend the Richmond office 1 day per week
