Job summary

X4 Technology is seeking a Systems Engineer for a permanent, hybrid role in the United Kingdom with active Enhanced DV clearance. The position offers flexibility and an immediate Start Date to contribute to national security programmes and secure digital solutions.

You will capture and manage complex requirements, apply engineering principles across the V-Model, and produce essential technical artefacts while collaborating with architects, customers and engineers to deliver compliant, secure

Qualifications

• Active Enhanced DV (eDV) clearance is required.
• Experience with defence or national security programmes expected.
• Familiarity with secure cloud, AI, and mission-critical environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Capture, analyse and manage complex system requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle.
• Apply Systems Engineering principles across the full V-Model lifecycle.
• Produce and maintain systems documentation, requirements and technical artefacts.
• Support solution architecture, integration and verification activities.
• Work closely with customers, architects and engineering teams to deliver secure technical solutions.
• Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to systems design reviews and engineering governance.
• Ensure compliance with Defence standards, engineering frameworks and security requirements.
• Support transition from legacy environments to modern cloud-based solutions.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
