Job description

Description

The Educational Technician III - Autism Preschool role provides instruction and behavioral support in year-round special purpose programs. Under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher and Director, the Education Tech III supports students in achieving communication, play, socialization, self-care, cognitive, behavior, and motor goals.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Minimum of 90 credits of approved study required.
  2. License/Certifications: Certification as an Education Technician III from the Maine Department of Education required.
  3. Experience: Two years of experience in special education, early childhood, or a related field preferred. Experience working with children ages 3-5 with autism and other developmental disabilities is preferred. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of the Educational Technician II role.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements: DOE fingerprinting required.
