Job summary

HB People Recruitment & HR Specialists is seeking an experienced HR Operations Manager in Manchester to lead HR contact for a portfolio of schools. The role involves advising managers on employment law, handling ER casework, and supporting recruitment and safer recruitment processes.

You will work on attendance management, occupational health, organisational change, and maintaining HR compliance. This position requires strong communication and prioritisation skills, with CIPD Level 5

Qualifications

Experience as a generalist HR professional handling ER casework and advising managers.
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employment policies.
Excellent communication and prioritisation skills.
CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience, education-sector experience is useful but not essential.

Responsibilities

Lead HR contact for a portfolio of schools and provide practical HR advice.
Handle employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, capability, sickness absence, probation and conduct.
Provide day-to-day HR guidance on employment law, policies and terms & conditions.
Support recruitment and safer recruitment processes.
Manage attendance and Occupational Health processes.
Assist organisational change and consultations.
Monitor HR compliance and workforce information.
Produce and interpret HR data and reports.
Support and supervise HR Administrators to deliver an efficient HR service.
