Job summary

Forrest Recruitment in North Liverpool is seeking an experienced HR Manager/ HR Business Partner to join their HR team. This hands-on role partners with senior leaders and managers across multiple sites, delivering trusted advice across the full employee lifecycle, with emphasis on employee relations, recruitment, performance management, absence, wellbeing and policy. Travel between school sites is required, and enhanced DBS clearance will be necessary.

HR Manager - North Liverpool

Educational Sector | Full-time, 37 hours per week | £40,777 – £51,356 D.O.E

We are supporting a leading organisation within the educational sector to recruit an experienced HR Manager / HR Business Partner to join their HR team.

This is a varied and hands‑on HR role, working closely with senior leaders, managers and employees across multiple sites. You’ll provide trusted advice across the full employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on employee relations, recruitment, performance management, absence, well‑being and HR policy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
• Manage and support employee relations cases and HR processes.
• Lead and coordinate recruitment, selection, pre‑employment checks and onboarding.
• Support managers with performance management, absence and employee wellbeing.
• Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and effectively.
• Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with UK GDPR and relevant legislation.
• Contribute to HR projects, training and the wider HR strategy.

About you

• Strong knowledge of UK employment law, HR policies and employee relations.
• Experience managing a broad range of HR matters.
• Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
• CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent) is essential.
• Experience within education is desirable but not essential.
