Job summary

Waseley Hills High School in Yardley Wood, England, is seeking an approachable Educational Welfare Officer to support attendance and welfare for students aged 11 to 18. The post is permanent, 37 hours per week, term-time plus 10 days, with a competitive NJC salary.

You will work closely with students, families and external agencies to remove barriers to attending school, uphold safeguarding standards, complete DBS checks, and collaborate with the pastoral team to improve student wellbeing.

Contract: Permanent

Salary: NJC Scale 6 Points 18-22 (£31,537-£33,699 FTE - Pay Award Pending)

Waseley Hills High School is seeking to appoint an approachable, empathetic and resilient Educational Welfare Officer who can work with students and families to remove barriers to attending school. The successful candidate will have strong organisational and communication skills. The role includes working closely with students aged 11 to 18 , families, external agencies and the wider pastoral team to remove barriers to attending school.
