Job summary

Waseley Hills High School is seeking an Education Welfare Officer to support students and families, remove barriers to attendance and work with external agencies to promote wellbeing.

The role is permanent, full-time (37 hours per week term-time plus 10 days) with a NJC scale salary (£31,537-£33,699 FTE). Applicants will have strong organisational and communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience in education welfare or safeguarding.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support students aged 11–18 to remove barriers to regular attendance.
• Collaborate with families and external agencies to improve attendance and wellbeing.
• Assist the pastoral team and maintain safeguarding procedures.
