Job summary

The King Edmund School in Essex is seeking an Education, Welfare & Attendance Officer to work with students and families to improve attendance and wellbeing. This role is part-time, term-time plus September INSET day, with 37 hours per week distributed across 4 days.

You will conduct home visits, manage a caseload of attendance cases, liaise with external agencies, and contribute to safeguarding. A compassionate, organized approach will support our vulnerable families and help promote school

Qualifications

  • Experience in education, social care, or similar fields.
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and ability to promote welfare.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Job description

Contract type: Part-Time |42.8 weeks per year - Term-Time only plus September INSET day

Working Hours: Mon-Thu 07:30-16:00, Fri 07:30-15:30 – 37 hours per week with 1hr unpaid for lunch each day

The Role
