Job summary

Northern Lights Learning Trust is seeking a People Officer to join our team at the central offices in Seaham. You will work with the Head of People to deliver a proactive HR service across schools and the central team.

You will support recruitment, payroll coordination with a third party, and policy advice for Heads and senior leaders. The role requires CIPD Level 3 or equivalent experience and excellent organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Generalist HR experience with payroll liaison responsibilities.
• Proven experience managing recruitment campaigns.
• Solid knowledge of HR processes and policies.
• Strong systems literacy and high data accuracy.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Interest in implementing new HR systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, proactive HR support to schools within the trust and central team.
• Coordinate payroll completion with a third-party provider.
• Advise Headteachers and senior leaders on people-related duties.
• Note-taker for formal meetings when required and support staff benefits.
