Job summary

Northern Lights Learning Trust in the United Kingdom is seeking a Head of People to lead the People Service from the Trust Central Offices in Seaham. You will act as a trusted adviser to school leaders and executive colleagues, shaping policies on workforce planning, wellbeing, organisational development and compliance.

You will help shape a robust People Strategy with the Executive Director of Trust Services, ensuring alignment with mission and priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a senior HR partner/advisor supporting leaders and governing bodies.
• Proven ability to lead and line-manage HR professionals.
• Experience resolving complex employee relations cases.
• Experience working with trade unions and stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead the People Service across the Trust, advising leaders on workforce planning, wellbeing, OD and compliance.
• Develop and implement the Trust’s People Strategy in collaboration with the Executive Director of Trust Services.
• Provide expert guidance to ensure policy alignment with mission, values and priorities.

We are lookingfor an experienced professional as you will operate as a senior peopleprofessional within the Trust. You willact as a trusted adviser to leaders, providing advice and expertise inworkforce planning, employee relations, organisational development, wellbeing,and compliance.

You will have aunique opportunity to shape excellent people services across the trust. This role involves working with our newlyappointed Executive Director of Trust Services to develop and implement theTrust’s People Strategy, ensuring it aligns with the Trust’s mission, valuesand strategic priorities.

The idealcandidate will hold a CIPD Level 7 qualification (or equivalent), orsignificant experience at a senior HR professional level.
