Job summary

Staffordshire County Council is seeking a administrative data officer to join the Schools Data Team on a maternity cover basis for 10 months. You will work with schools to ensure accurate data for the school census, supporting Department of Education returns.

You will mainly be office based with some home working on a rota; excellent communication and data entry skills are essential to manage data quality and project notes while meeting deadlines.

  • Be able to develop effective working relationships and provide excellent customer service.
  • Good organisation skills and attention to detail, as you'll be keeping data updated and you'll be working to deadlines.
  • A flexible approach to work as sometimes things can change, and so you'll need to be able to prioritise work and sometimes change tasks quickly.
  • An ability to work as part of a team but also using their own initiative.
  • A passion to always give the best service

Job description

We have angreatopportunityto join our Schools Data Team, working on data collection from our schools.

Our School's Data Team are the key to supporting schools to enable them to complete the Department of Education school censes. The school census is a statutory return which takes place during the autumn, spring, and summer terms. The census collects information about individual pupils and about the schools themselves.

You will work closely with schools to ensure we have accurate and update information from them for other services to use the data.

This role is a maternity leave cover for 10 months.

Main Responsibilities

You will work closely as a team to:

The Ideal Candidate

You will mainly be office based, although some home working is arranged on a rota basis dependant on the demands of the service.

Interviews will be held week commencing W/C 14th September in person at Staffordshire Place 1.
