Job summary

Staffordshire County Council is inviting applications for a Commissioning Support Officer to help support the placement service with administration, finance, contracts and data analysis. The role involves working with the Finance & Contracts Monitoring Officer and liaising with external agencies to provide timely performance information.

The post offers hybrid/remote working with at least two office days per week, and a fixed two-year tenure.

Responsibilities

• Use, maintain and monitor SCC ICT packages for data input and retrieval.
• Assist with commissioning budgets, including raising invoices and payments via Finance systems.
• Assist with development of publicity and other information for commissioned services.
• Produce high-quality documents and spreadsheets; presentations.
• Establish and maintain filing and information systems and databases.
• Organise events for managers, including room bookings and attendance databases.
• Undertake research and plan engagement to support new ways of working.
• Undertake other duties as required by management.

Do you want to make a difference for children and families?We have a great opportunity for a Commissioning Support Officer to join us in making sure we're able to provide support to our placement service in with a variety of tasks which includes administration relating to our commissioned services, finance, contracts and data analysis.

You will be responsible to the Finance & Contracts Monitoring Officer to provide support around administration, finance, contracts and data analysis. You will be required to provide support to the whole Placement Service and to deal with queries when they occur internally and externally from other agencies. Work will also require providing performance and management information when required.

The role allows for flexible working with hybrid/remote working but with an expectation to be in the office at least two days a week or on request.

It is a fixed 2 year full-time role.

Main Responsibilities

In this role you'll:

• use, maintain and monitor extensive and varied SCC ICT packages for the input and retrieval of data, use of office email and intra/internet facilities.
• assist with the maintenance and monitoring of commissioning budgets, including raising invoices, payment of accounts through the County Council's Finance systems.
• assist with the development of publicity and other information including website development as appropriate for commissioned services and support.
• produce of high-quality documents, and spreadsheets. Presentations
• establish and maintain appropriate pending, filing and information systems, which will include maintaining a range of databases.
• organise events on behalf of managers as required including booking rooms, publicity, responding to enquiries, maintaining databases of attendance and registration.
• undertake research activity and plan engagement opportunities to support the Team in the development of new ways of working.
• undertake any other duties required by management which are commensurate with the grading of the post.

• The ability to work as a team player
