Berkeley Scott Recruitment in London is actively seeking an experienced Chef to join a school kitchen in the Central London area. This education catering role offers weekday work, term-time scheduling, and potential for long-term or permanent placement.

As Education Chef you will assist with meal prep, support the Head Chef with menus and kitchen operations, and ensure high standards of hygiene and safety. DBS checks and UK work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year's experience as a Chef.
• Experience in education catering is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
• Level 2 Food Safety and Allergens certificate
• Reliable, professional, and excellent communication skills
• A passion for preparing healthy and nutritious meals for children

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation and cooking of nutritious, balanced meals for students and staff
• Supporting the Head Chef with menu planning and kitchen operations
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness
• Monitoring stock levels and assisting with orders
• Supervising and supporting kitchen assistants during service
• Ensuring compliance with all food safety and health & safety regulations
• Helping deliver an efficient and high-quality catering service
