Job summary

Berkeley Scott Limited is recruiting experienced School Chefs for temporary assignments across Taunton and surrounding areas, with September starts available. You will prepare and serve nutritious meals for pupils and staff, support the daily running of school kitchens and maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.

Enhanced DBS is essential. Pay is up to £23.00 per hour depending on experience, with weekly pay and holiday pay included.

Qualifications

• Previous chef experience in schools or educational catering.
• Valid Enhanced DBS certificate is required.
• Food Hygiene Level 3 certificate required.
• Knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements is essential.
• Reliable and professional; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals for pupils and staff.
• Support the day-to-day running of school kitchens.
• Maintain high food hygiene and health and safety standards.
• Cater for allergens and special dietary requirements.
• Assist with stock control, prep and kitchen cleanliness.
