Job summary

Broadoak Academy in Weston-super-Mare seeks a Senior Operations Manager to lead the non-educational functions, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient day-to-day operations across administration, health and safety, HR support, and recruitment.

As part of the school's leadership team you will drive system improvements, oversee safeguarding and GDPR, manage the Single Central Record, and support the Principal and SLT with strategic operational guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational leadership within an educational setting.
• Strong focus on compliance, health and safety, and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Professional Services team, including administrative staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery across the Academy.
• Act as the operational lead for Health & Safety, compliance, policy implementation, GDPR and risk management.
• Support the Principal and Senior Leadership Team on all non-education aspects of Academy operations, providing advice, oversight and practical solutions.
• Oversee HR administration and recruitment processes, supporting safer recruitment practices and staff compliance.
