Job summary

NELFT NHS Foundation Trust’s SE Essex MHST is recruiting Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) or Children's Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs) to work with schools to support children and young people with mild to moderate mental health challenges.

The role involves autonomous clinical work across primary, secondary and higher education settings, carrying out assessments, ROMS, care plans and reviews, and collaborating with schools to achieve agreed outcomes.

Qualifications

• Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) or Children's Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs) to join the SE Essex MHST team.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle to travel across the county.

Responsibilities

• Work with schools, children, young people, and families to develop plans for intervention and agreed outcomes.
• Work as autonomous clinicians alongside education colleagues.
• Deliver interventions to support Children and Young People in primary, secondary and higher education settings.
• Complete comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, care plans and reviews.
• Proficiently use ROMS and clinical tools to gather feedback and guide practice, with mapping to inform service delivery.
• Collaborate with EMHPs/CWPs and Senior MH Practitioners to support learning and development.
• Opportunities for individual work, group work and consultations.
• Robust supervision framework to support clinical development.
