Job summary

NELFT NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an Education Mental Health Practitioner to work within South-West Essex MHST. You will assess, plan, and deliver targeted interventions for children and young people in educational settings.

You will collaborate with schools, families and fellow professionals to develop care plans, using ROMS and standard measures, and to monitor outcomes across sites in Basildon and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Completed HEE/NHSE Education Mental Health Practitioner course or Children's Wellbeing Practitioner course.
• Eligible for BABCP or BPS registration, or in process.
• Experience delivering low intensity CBT within educational settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessments and management plans for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
• Deliver individual and group low intensity CBT interventions in schools and colleges.
• Collaborate with schools, families, and multidisciplinary colleagues; participate in supervision and local meetings.
