Job summary

Berkeley Scott are recruiting experienced School Chefs for temporary assignments across Portsmouth and surrounding locations, with immediate starts available. You will prepare meals for pupils and staff, maintain high hygiene standards, and adapt to school catering environments.

The role offers up to £23.00 per hour (DOE), weekly pay, flexible shifts, and ongoing opportunities across the academic year.

Qualifications

• DBS Enhanced is required.
• Food Hygiene Level 3 is essential.
• Experience in school/education catering or high-volume kitchens.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving nutritious meals for pupils and staff
• Supporting the day-to-day running of school kitchens
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
• Catering for allergens and special dietary requirements
• Assisting with stock control, food preparation and kitchen cleanliness
